About the artist

The artist has been a professional photographer since age fifteen when he sold over 100 prints that he hand-made in his self-assembled darkroom. He has a degree in Computer Science, and a background in Art and Photography from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He then went on to work at Nynex Science and Technology as a multi-media developer before going on to get a graduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab. While at MIT, he invented the Photomosaic® art process and went on to make mosaic covers for LIFE, Newsweek, GEO, Sports Illustrated, and dozens of other magazines. Mr. Silvers has some of his computer-graphic artwork in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art. His clients include Oprah Winfrey, Elton John, Penn & Teller, Al Gore, President George W Bush, Queen Noor of Jordan, the Ferrari family, Kate Capshaw (Steven Spielberg’s wife), Kathleen Kennedy (President of Lucasfilm and Producer of Star Wars), and dozens of other notable people and companies including IBM, Disney, Coca-Cola, Lucasfilm, National Geographic, CNN. His work has been on display at the Library of Congress, the Chicago Museum of Art and Science, Las Vegas International Airport, and many commercial and private galleries.
